These sixty-one quatrains and T'ang poems composed during Ho Chi Minh’s incarceration by the Chinese, reveal the political legend as a poet-philosopher in the great Asian tradition. They are presented with images of contemporary Viet Nam when Larry Towell travelled with US veterans suffering from PTSD to do volunteer work as part of their rehabilitation.
